Creative Responsibility

All STTLMNT invited Participating Artists likeness and All Associated Works and Concepts represented on this website remain the sole property of the Artist represented, or whose work and concept is being shared, exclusively. Works cannot be distributed or modified in any way without the expressed verbal or written consent of the Artist themselves, and STTLMNT asserts no ownership of any artworks or concepts presented on this Site as presented by participating Artists or their Projects. All STTLMNT Artists and Projects presented on this Site are as willing participant contributors/ contributions to the new iteration of the original project Settlement, Plymouth,UK, an onsite encampment, cancelled due to COVID-19, of which is reimagined here by Artist Cannupa Hanska Luger as STTLMNT: Digital Occupation Site, first activated by a funding partnership with the City of Plymouth UK and collaboration with Plymouth’s The Conscious Sisters as it aligned with the Mayflower 400 commemoration events, as commissioned through the Arts Council England in 2020-2021, after which time this digital occupation project (STTLMNT) will grow into a larger iteration through programming and new work to be determined by STTLMNT Concept Artist Cannupa Hanska Luger in a manner to be determined, with Artists to be determined, or as interest occurs. The concept of STTLMNT Digital Occupation online Site and forum for idea sharing, as seen here, which provides a platform to represent an artistic response space to colonialism presented by varying Indigenous Artists who are producing their own content, concepts and work, STTLMNT as this hub or online community space and all language associated with this presentation of living archive of Indigenous artworks remains the creative and intellectual property and concept of Artist Cannupa Hanska Luger. All artwork and ideas presented here by invited Participating Artists remains their intellectual property solely.
